To use your smartcard with smartcard compatible KleverKey products, you must first register the smartcard in our system. There are different ways how to do this. We'll show you how to add a new smartcard for yourself or as an administrator for someone else.

Add Smartcard for yourself

To add a smartcard for yourself, you must follow the steps:

1. Login with your account at https://my.kleverkey.com
2. Open view Phones & Cards
3. Choose the + button and "Add Smartcard"
4. Fill in all information required in the new dialog
5. You new card will be shown in the Phones & Cards overview and someone can grant a permission to a lock for your card

Caution: Make sure the data is entered correctly. 

Add a Smartcard as an Admin for someone else

To add a smartcard for someone else, you must follow the steps:

1. Login with your account at https://my.kleverkey.com
2. Open view Phones & Cards
3. Choose the + button and "Add Smartcard for someone else"
4. Fill in all information required in the new dialog incl. the owner of the new smartcard
5. The owner of the smartcard will receive an e-mail to accept assigning the smartcard with his account. As soon as the smartcard is accepted, a permission can be granted for this card
